Every Frame Tells a Story

A Short Scene from Budapest
This scene was taken as me and a group of friends were touring the city of Budapest, Hungary one extremely hot June afternoon. Since we were only spending a day there, we chose and ended up rushing to sightsee the usual tourist hotspots. However, the bustle of the crowd and ornate architecture sparked an idea. While everyone was relishing in a short break from the rigorous walking, I quickly grabbed my camera. The video brought to life the diverse culture of Budapest and helped the city come alive.

Meanwhile, Back at Home
There is something about noticing the beauty in nostalgic moments that pull me in. I do not know if it was the wind caressing the plants or the evening golden hour that danced on the hard cement slopes of the skatepark, but I felt I needed to try to encapsulate the essence of a chilly winter evening when kids are off from school and life is simple.

Bitterness to Self-Control: A Testimonial
This is a deep-dive into my friend’s personal testimony about how she came to know the Lord. Not only did I learn about her past, but I was able to continue to grow in the art of storytelling and continue to learn how to condense a story to fit standard broadcast time.

Fuel the Right Way
As a long-distance runner, I am constantly looking for healthy options to properly nourish my body as I do grueling workouts up mountains or on the track. I was inspired to create a mock commercial for Clif Bars, recruiting my good friend and fellow runner to give a personal testimony about her experience with the energy bar. I tried to target this commercial to a wide audience of athletes in a persuasive, yet authentic way.

What Students Really Think About “Ring by Spring”
I was tasked with creating a feature package and chose to gather more information about the phenomenon called “Ring by Spring” that is mainly found at Christian colleges around the U.S. Gathering B-roll, creating a VO script, and interviewing students gave me substantial material to create an objective news package.

An Inside Look Into a European-Inspired Bakery
Having done photography for this bakery previously, I knew that creating a profile package to grab student attention and drive traffic was exactly what I wanted to shoot. Again, I gathered B-roll, wrote a VO script, but I also included a stand-up segment and an interview with the bakery manager.
